About Us
One family has worked this ground for six generations outside Bentley, Alberta. Dustin was born here, raised here, and runs the cattle on the same land his family has held since the homestead days.
Bentley sits in Lacombe County, on Highway 12, about twenty-eight kilometers northwest of Red Deer, in the rolling country between Gull Lake and the Blindman River. The first families came into this valley in the late 1880s, walking or driving oxen up from Lacombe because the railway only went so far. They stayed, and they farmed, and a fair number of their descendants are still here doing the same thing.
Ours are among them. The barn has been rebuilt, the equipment has changed more times than anyone kept track of, and the herd has moved from pasture to pasture over the years. The land has not gone anywhere. Neither have we.
Our GOal
How we raise them
We raise the cattle on our own pasture and handle them ourselves. We are happy to tell you exactly how they were fed and finished, and where they were processed. Ask us at the market, and we'll give you a straight answer.
Our Promise
We will tell you the truth about your beef. Where it came from, what it ate, when we cut it, and what's actually left in the freezer. If we're out of something, we'll say so instead of talking you into a different cut. If an animal isn't ready, we'll wait instead of rushing it. You'll get what you ordered, weighed and priced the way we said, and if something isn't right when you open the box, tell us, and we'll make it right. We're not hard to find; we live here, and we'd rather keep a customer for ten years than win one sale.
